Before you write
Most questions we get already have a faster answer on the site:
A submission was rejected, or an engine returned 403
Run the key checker — it fetches your key file the way an engine does and names the exact problem.
You lost your API key
Keys are stored hashed, so nobody can retrieve yours — including us. Request a replacement from the dashboard sign-in screen and we email you a single-use link.
What to include
If something is not working, these three things usually let us answer in one reply instead of three:
- ✓The host you are submitting for — not the full URL list.
- ✓The exact response you got, including the status code and any
verdictfield. - ✓The submission id, if you have an account — it is in your history and pins down the exact request.
Never send us your API key. We can find your account from your email address, and a key in an inbox is a key that has leaked.
Specific things
| Refunds | Email within 14 days of a charge and we refund it, per the terms. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record, so the charge appears under their name on your statement. |
| Cancelling | Do it yourself from the billing portal in the dashboard — no email needed. Your delivery history stays readable afterwards. |
| Your data | Access, export or deletion requests go to the same address. See the privacy policy for what is held and for how long. |
| Security | Report vulnerabilities to the same address with "security" in the subject. Please give us a chance to fix it before publishing. |
| Something we got wrong | If any claim on this site is inaccurate, tell us. Being straight about what IndexNow can and cannot do is the point of the product. |
One thing we cannot do
We cannot make a search engine index your page, and we cannot submit to Google — it does not participate in IndexNow. What we can do is prove a submission was delivered and tell you exactly what each engine said about it. If a page is not being indexed, the indexing guides are a better starting point than an email to us.
