Privacy policy

What we collect

Free, no account. When you submit URLs we record the host, the URLs, the timestamp, the key verification verdict and each engine's response. We keep a counter against your IP address to enforce the daily limit. We do not store the IP address alongside your submissions.

Paid accounts. Your email address (from the payment provider), your subscription state, the projects you configure — including the host, sitemap URL and IndexNow key — and your submission history for the retention period of your plan.

Payments. Card details are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and never reach our servers. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for your purchase, so it — not us — is the seller on your statement and the party that handles sales tax and VAT. We store only the customer and subscription identifiers it gives us, plus the email address on the order.

About your IndexNow key

We store the IndexNow key for each project because the sitemap watcher needs it to submit on your behalf. This value is not a secret in any meaningful sense: the protocol requires you to publish it in a world-readable file on your own domain. It cannot be used to change anything on your site.

Who we share it with

Your submitted URLs and host go to the search engines you select — that is the entire purpose of the service. Their handling of that data is governed by their own policies.

Beyond that: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Lemon Squeezy (payments) and Google Analytics (traffic measurement). We do not sell data and we run no advertising trackers.

Google Analytics records which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and how they arrived. It sets its own cookies to distinguish repeat visits, and the data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. It is not linked to your account, your API key, or the URLs you submit — those never leave our own database except to go to the search engines you select.

Retention

Free-tier submission records are kept for 30 days. Paid submission history is kept for the window stated in your plan (90 days on Pro, 365 on Agency). Rate-limit counters expire within 24 hours. Cancelling drops you to the free tier and retains your history; email us to have it deleted outright.

Your rights

Email contact@instantindexnow.com to access, export or delete your data. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We set no cookies. The dashboard keeps your API key in your browser's local storage so you do not have to paste it on every visit; it never leaves your browser except as an authorization header to this site. Signing out removes it.
