What you are actually paying for
IndexNow is an open protocol. You can call it with curl
and it costs nothing — we say so on the homepage, and the free tier here does exactly that with the key check added.
A paid plan is worth money only if it does something a browser and a shell script cannot:
- ✓Unattended sitemap watching. We poll your sitemap, diff it against what we have already seen, and submit only genuinely new or changed URLs. You publish; indexing submission happens without you.
- ✓Detecting silent breakage. Key files disappear during redeploys and engines start rejecting hosts. The watcher re-checks your key every cycle and records the failure instead of quietly doing nothing for a month.
- ✓A retained record. Every submission is stored with its timestamp, URL list, key verdict and each engine's exact response — exportable as CSV. If you bill someone for SEO work, this is the evidence.
- ✓An authenticated API. Wire submission into your deploy pipeline or CMS with a key you can rotate and revoke.
- ✓Read-only Google Search Console data. Connect a property once and inspect the indexed version of important URLs without jumping between tools.
Honest limitations
- •No Google. Google does not participate in IndexNow. Nothing on any plan submits to Google, and we will not pretend otherwise.
- •Submission is not indexing. IndexNow affects how fast an engine discovers a URL. Whether it indexes the page is the engine's decision, based on the page itself.
- •We do not poll the IndexNow engines for index status. What you get is exactly what each engine returned at the moment you submitted. None of them publishes a lookup for asking later whether a URL actually made it into the index, so any tool claiming to track that for Bing or Yandex is inferring it rather than reading it.
